Friday Fictioneers – February 1/13

Friday Fictioneers is sponsored by Rochelle Wisoff-Fields.  The idea is to write a 100 word story with a beginning, middle and end based on the photo prompt.

So this is how it would end.  He’d often wondered.

It had been simple really.  He had pictured something much more violent, more gory.

That was when he imagined catching her in the act.

No, this was much better.  Just the two of them.  The way it should be.  The way it was before she had to get that job.  To buy those clothes.  To pay for that hair.  To seduce that man.

She’d put up a good front.  Insisting it was for him.  She’d say things like “new and improved” with a laugh.

At this moment things had very much improved.

Nothing would ever be new.

  1. Hi Denmother, welcome to Friday Fictioneers. I really like your style in this piece, the short, clipped sentences – very succinct. And how you end it. Lovely writing. Claire
