Warm Feet, Cold Heart

(100 words)

Perhaps it was the dreariness of the day, but Michael just couldn’t get excited about the outing.  Martha was all about visiting this and that during their “six precious days” in New York.  She’d pre-booked them for daily tours, this being their first. He had planned for their honeymoon to be all about sex and infrequent trips out of their four star suite.  He had bought her three lingerie outfits for Christ sakes.  Last night was lackluster as she rambled on about their new life together.   This wasn’t the payoff his married buddies had promised.  If only he could swim.
